This bus that was built by Emmanuel Buschmann in 1927 is exhibited at the Historic Log Village. Driver Mr. Buschmann built this wooden bus mounted on a light sleigh to run the approximately 4-mile northern bus route for the Pequot Lakes school district. With its team of horses, it was used during the winter, replacing the Model T bus that could not drive through the deep snow. Inside is an airtight wood burning stove and two benches for seating both the driver and children.
