The Historic Log Village is set in an era encompassing the late 1800s to the early 1900s. The log buildings and furnishings represent characteristic life in the area during that time before electricity was introduced! Indoor plumbing was rare. Water was pumped from a shallow well in the yard and outhouses were typical. Although cities boasted of more modern conveniences, in the Crosslake area, life was much more primitive. Living was hard and challenging for early Crosslake residents. We hope we can give you an impression and appreciation of the lives of Crosslake’s pioneers by viewing and touring our treasured Historic Log Village!
Be sure to take a walk down by the scenic Pine River, reflect on its beauty and enjoy a picnic on the grounds.
No admission is charged to visit on weekend hours, but donations are welcome and encouraged. The Village is staffed by volunteers who are available to answer questions and guide visitors through the Historic Log Village Museum.
Step back in time and enter Crosslake’s early years!
